A New Era for Peters Township Girls Soccer
Rob Heuler, a former Bethel Park soccer standout and coach, has been named the new varsity girls soccer coach at Peters Township High School, taking over a program that has captured seven section titles in the past decade.
Heuler’s playing pedigree includes three years as a starter and captain for Bethel Park, where he led the team to a WPIAL championship in 2007, and he later compiled a 39‑25‑7 record as head coach of the Bethel Park girls varsity side, guiding the program to two playoff appearances.
His coaching résumé also features stints as an assistant with Johns Hopkins men’s soccer and the Pittsburgh Riverhounds U23, followed by leadership of the Beadling Soccer Club’s professional Women’s Premier Soccer League team, where he secured five state titles.
He returns to the local scene after a year abroad, bringing USSF National Licenses and a network of contacts that include assistant coaches Brendan and Liz Albright, who are familiar with many of the returning seniors.
The team boasts a 28‑match unbeaten streak from the 2024‑2025 season, highlighted by a 5‑4 victory over Seneca Valley in the WPIAL Class 4A championship, and returns key players such as Ava Hajnosz, Caitlin Martin, Fallon Malley and Marina Hajnosz who have been driving summer practices.
Heuler has assembled a support staff that includes performance coach Jeff Moyer and newcomers J.R. Little and Al Lopus, aiming to blend experience with fresh ideas as the program looks to preserve its recent dominance.
His overarching goal is to forge a cohesive team identity, set clear personal and collective objectives, and hold each player accountable to those standards as the new season begins.
