The summer of 2026 saw the return of the Robbie Graham Basketball Camp to George Rogers Clark High School in Kentucky, marking the first edition in several years.
Over three days, from June 22 to June 24, the camp welcomed 58 youngsters ranging from kindergarten through eighth grade, who were divided into age‑appropriate groups.
Coaching Excellence and Community Spirit
Coach Robbie Graham, together with a cadre of state championship coaches and players from the local GRC Hoops program, led the sessions, bringing a blend of technical instruction and mentorship.
The curriculum focused on core fundamentals — ball handling, passing, shooting and defensive footwork — while also weaving in lessons about sportsmanship and collaborative play.
Learning at Every Pace
Understanding that each child develops at a different rate, the coaches tailored drills to match individual skill levels, ensuring that beginners felt supported and more advanced players remained challenged.
Beyond basketball, the camp emphasized the importance of being a good teammate, encouraging participants to respect peers and celebrate collective achievement.
Looking ahead, Graham expressed optimism about the program’s trajectory, stating his desire to expand the camp’s reach and continue offering this enriching experience in the summers to come.
