Roberto Carlos invests $5 million in luxury condos at Fort Lauderdale’s Viceroy Residences

The Brazilian soccer icon joins a growing list of athletes embracing South Florida's high‑end real estate market.

Brazilian soccer legend Roberto Carlos da Silva Rocha has just added a slice of South Florida luxury to his portfolio, purchasing two high‑end condominiums at the Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale for roughly $5 million.

The acquisition comprises a 1,350‑square‑foot two‑bedroom, 2.5‑bath unit with a 200‑square‑foot terrace and a 1,850‑square‑foot three‑bedroom, three‑bath residence featuring a 250‑square‑foot terrace, both situated on one of the tower’s upper floors.

A tower of amenities

Rising 45 stories, the Viceroy Residences boasts an array of exclusive facilities: a resort‑style pool, a gym with panoramic ocean views, a full‑service spa, a lounge, a wine bar, a VR simulator room, and direct beach club access.

Residents will also enjoy 10‑foot ceilings, floor‑to‑ceiling windows that frame sweeping vistas of the Atlantic, the Intracoastal Waterway and the Fort Lauderdale skyline, as well as a 15,000‑square‑foot restaurant and a private members club conceived by The h.wood Group.

The development, being delivered by the Naftali Group and exclusively marketed by Douglas Elliman, is slated for its first closings in 2030, positioning the project at the forefront of luxury real estate in the region.

Beyond the property, Carlos, who also serves as a World Cup ambassador, expressed enthusiasm for the growing soccer culture in South Florida, noting that the area’s passion for the sport is accelerating ahead of the upcoming tournament.
