Rock Valley Conference Football Preview: 2026 Season Outlook
The Rock Valley Conference enters its 2026 campaign with a sense of familiarity and anticipation. After sharing the 2025 championship, Delavan‑Darien and Evansville return as the teams to watch, each bringing a blend of proven talent and fresh energy.
Delavan‑Darien’s offense looks poised to build on last year’s success. Quarterback Quintin Arizola, who amassed 3,223 passing yards and 33 touchdowns in 2025, will once again anchor the attack. Adding to the firepower, receiver Kaden Garbe returns after a 1,324‑yard, 12‑touchdown season, while Braedyn McKean continues to stretch defenses with 1,100 receiving yards and 13 scores.
Evansville, meanwhile, counters with a balanced attack led by running back Harker Larsen, who contributed 369 rushing yards, five touchdowns and a strong defensive presence with 12 tackles for loss and six sacks. At quarterback, Matthew Wickersham posted 1,230 yards and 13 touchdowns, and wideout Karder Tway will look to build on his 538‑yard, seven‑score campaign.
Other programs are also shaping competitive squads. Clinton brings back all 11 defensive starters and nine offensive regulars, featuring standout Jaxson Beaumont, who earned an Honorable Mention All‑Conference nod in 2025. Mark Kibler and Garth Coats, seasoned contributors on Clinton’s line, are expected to provide additional depth. East Troy will rely on quarterback Brayden Golabowski and top receiver Connor Sickler, while Whitewater returns senior quarterback Ty Bucholtz, a Dordt commit, alongside key contributors Darin Wecker, Emmett Spear and Kyle Collins. Big Foot, too, returns six starters on each side of the ball, with Grant McLain anchoring the defense.
Coaches across the league are optimistic, and the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association has highlighted the depth of talent that will define the season. With returning starters, versatile playmakers and a mix of seasoned leaders, the conference promises a schedule full of hard‑fought contests.
