Community Football Camps Inspire Young Athletes
On Saturday, May 16, 2026, the Rockford Park District hosted two free football camps at the Mercyhealth Sportscore Two Indoor Sports Center, drawing young athletes from across the region.
Former Chicago Bears running back Kyle Monangai and U.S. Women’s National Flag Football standout Laneah Bryan served as guest coaches, sharing insights on technique, discipline, and teamwork.
Lamont Jones, General Manager for Youth Sports and the Clarence Hicks Memorial Sports Park, highlighted the significance of learning directly from professional athletes, noting that the experience extends beyond the field.
