Former Campbell University head coach Ronny Fisher has been announced as the newest assistant coach for the NC State women’s basketball program, slated to begin his duties for the 2026‑27 season. The hiring was confirmed by NC State officials earlier this week, marking the first major addition to the staff since the departure of longtime assistant Wes Moore.
A Tenure Defined by Consistency
Fisher’s decade at Campbell was marked by steady growth and two consecutive 20‑win campaigns in the 2023‑24 and 2024‑25 seasons. He finished his tenure with a 194‑115 overall record, averaging 19 wins per year, and led the Camels to their first ever WNIT victory during the 2024‑25 postseason.
What Remains Unfilled
Despite the addition of Fisher, the Wolfpack still have one assistant coaching slot and a Director of Scouting and Video Operations to fill before the upcoming season. Both positions remain open as the program looks to round out a staff that has seen several departures in recent months.
