Home games for the Rowan County American Legion baseball team are held at South Rowan High School, where they start at 7 p.m. The club has been active throughout June, facing a rotating slate of opponents from across the region.
Recent results show a mixed but promising performance: a narrow 5‑7 loss to Liberty on June 1 was followed by a 9‑6 victory over High Point on June 2, a dominant 10‑0 win against Stanly County on June 4, and a 7‑1 setback to High Point on June 5. The team rebounded with a 9‑4 triumph over Kannapolis on June 6 and a 10‑1 win the next day, before defeating Randolph County 3‑1 on June 8 and 11‑8 on June 9. Additional wins came against Stanly County (12‑2) on June 10, Wadesboro (10‑0) on June 11, Matthews (11‑1) on June 12, and Mooresville (9‑6) on June 13.
The coaching staff is led by head coach Seth Graham, with assistants Cole Hales, Casey Gouge and Matt Connolly. Jim Fulton serves as team manager, while Richard Dillon holds the role of athletic officer, overseeing logistics and player development.
Upcoming Competition
The schedule stretches from June 15 through August 19, featuring playoff rounds that run from July 6 to July 21. The State Tournament is set for July 25‑29 in Gastonia, the Southeast Regional will take place August 5‑9 in Cherryville, and the World Series is slated for August 14‑19 in Shelby. These events provide the team with a chance to compete on a broader stage and bring additional visibility to the program.
