Rutgers University has completed its roster for the upcoming 2025‑26 women’s basketball season, locking in all 15 scholarship spots.
A Significant Addition
Among the newcomers is Hope Masonius, a 5‑foot‑9 guard who spent the last two seasons at Bucknell University before announcing her commitment to the Scarlet Knights.
Masonius arrives from Spring Lake, New Jersey, where she grew up in a family steeped in basketball. Her mother served as an assistant coach under Geno Auriemma at the University of Connecticut and now directs the New Jersey Rise Basketball program. Her sister, Faith Masonius, previously starred at Maryland and Seton Hall, bringing a high‑major pedigree to the family.
The transfer will have three years of eligibility remaining and is expected to contribute immediately. At Bucknell she averaged 2.3 points, 1.6 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game, while also setting season‑highs across the board and helping Manasquan win two Group 2 state championships and reach the 2022 Tournament of Champions semifinals.
The final roster blends six returning players with nine newcomers, eight of whom are transfers and one a freshman, giving the coaching staff a deep and versatile squad heading into the new campaign.
With the roster set, Rutgers looks to build on recent progress and compete in the highly competitive Big Ten conference.
