Rutgers Women’s Soccer Announces 2026 Schedule

Eighteen‑game slate seeks to restore the program’s winning tradition after a challenging 2025 season

Rutgers Women's Soccer Unveils 2026 Schedule

Rutgers University’s women’s soccer program announced its complete 2026 schedule last week, outlining a demanding 18‑game slate that blends conference showdowns with non‑conference road trips.

The season opens on August 13 with a matchup against Tennessee, followed by contests versus UConn on August 20 and Fairfield on August 23. The first home appearance for the Scarlet Knights arrives on August 27 against Boston College, after which the team travels to face Providence on August 30 and Princeton on September 6.

A Schedule Built for Growth

Conference play features twelve battles, including contests against Oregon, Washington, Purdue, UCLA, Wisconsin, Iowa, Northwestern, Nebraska, Penn State, Ohio State, Indiana and Maryland, providing a rigorous test against some of the nation’s top programs.

The 2025 campaign marked the first season since 2011 in which the team failed to qualify for the NCAA tournament and ended with a losing record, the first such finish since 2000. Head coach hopes the new schedule will give the squad ample opportunities to rebuild momentum and reclaim a winning record.

Fans can expect an exciting series of games as the Scarlet Knights aim to translate early‑season momentum into a resurgence that returns the program to the national conversation.
