Rutgers University announced this week that Mariana Martinez will serve as the video analyst for the Scarlet Knights' women's soccer team during the 2026 season.
A Clifton native, Martinez has spent the past decade navigating the coaching landscape of New Jersey and beyond, accumulating experience at both the collegiate level and within elite youth clubs.
Her coaching résumé includes head coaching stints with the girls' programs at Player Development Academy in 2017 and 2018, as well as leadership of the PDA SC Vistula squad in Garfield from 2022 through 2025.
In addition to her club work, Martinez served as an assistant coach at New Jersey City University in 2022 and has been a regular presence at Penn State soccer camps in 2023 and 2024, while also contributing to the Polish National Team's U12 camp during the summer of 2024.
Season opener details
The Scarlet Knights will open their 2026 schedule on August 13 with a matchup against Tennessee, a game that will be streamed live on SECN+ at 7 p.m.
