Redshirt junior offensive lineman Ryan Carretta has been selected for the 2026 Rimington Trophy Watch List, a preseason acknowledgment that celebrates the nation’s most dominant centers in NCAA Division I football.
The Rimington Trophy, named after former Nebraska standout Dave Rimington, has become a benchmark for interior line excellence, with its final recipient chosen by a combination of All‑America teams and fan voting.
Carretta’s inclusion comes after a 2025 campaign in which he logged seven starts at left guard, helping the Panthers’ field‑goal and PAT units operate with precision.
A Season of Growth and Recognition
Beyond his on‑field duties, Carretta earned a spot on the All‑ACC Academic Football Team, underscoring his commitment to scholarship as well as sport.
His high school pedigree at St. Charles Prep in Ohio was equally impressive, where he collected first‑team All‑Ohio Division II honors and served as student body president.
