Veteran driver Ryan Ellis is set to compete full‑time in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series for Young’s Motorsports in 2026, bringing more than a decade of national‑series experience to the No. 02 Chevrolet Camaro.
The team is shifting its flagship No. 02 entry to the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series on a permanent basis, beginning with a highly anticipated debut at Dover Motor Speedway in Delaware.
Sweetwater Construction and The Ashburn Pub have been named primary partners for the car, lending both industrial expertise and local hospitality branding to the program.
Eddie Troconis, an experienced crew chief with a history of top‑10 finishes, will guide the No. 02 machine, aiming to translate that success into a stronger points run.
Ellis arrives with a career spanning 177 O’Reilly Series starts, a best‑ever sixth‑place finish at Daytona International Speedway and a recent 13th‑place result at the same Dover track.
Young’s Motorsports, despite only 92 series starts since 2024, has already logged one top‑five and four top‑10 finishes, underscoring the organization’s rapid progress.
The upcoming race at Dover will serve as a litmus test for the partnership, with expectations that the combined experience of driver, crew chief and sponsors will finally crack the top‑five barrier.
Beyond the track, the collaboration highlights a broader strategy to expand the team’s national footprint, leveraging regional ties in New Jersey, Virginia and Florida to broaden fan engagement.
