During his tenure at Boston College, Forrest helped reshape the pitching staff into a conference‑level threat, guiding the unit to a No. 7 ranking in the ACC in 2026 and engineering an ERA drop of more than a run over the past two seasons. His work produced standout performances from arms such as A.J. Colarusso, who posted a 4.45 ERA and 77 strikeouts in 83 innings, and Tyler Mudd, who lowered his career‑best ERA to 4.72 with 47 strikeouts.

The impact of his coaching is evident in the draft trajectory of John West, who earned a spot on the ACC third team and was subsequently selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks, and in Colarusso’s recent signing with the New York Mets, a testament to the pitcher’s emergence as one of the program’s most promising arms.
Forrest’s departure also coincides with the exit of Greg Sullivan, another assistant who was let go earlier in the offseason, leaving the Eagles with two vacancies to fill as they look to maintain momentum heading into the next recruiting cycle.
