Ryan Kucherak, a junior from Chandler, Arizona, has received an invitation to the 2026 MLB Draft Combine scheduled for July in Phoenix, marking a significant milestone in his collegiate career.
The combine will bring together 335 of the nation's top prospects, ranging from college seniors to high school standouts, and will be televised exclusively by MLB Network with simultaneous streaming on MLB's digital platforms.
A Season of Accolades
During his junior year at Northwestern, Kucherak earned All-Big Ten honors after delivering a standout performance that placed him second on the team in batting average at .295, while also ranking second in doubles and RBI. He led the Wildcats with 27 walks, showcasing a disciplined approach at the plate.
His power numbers have been equally impressive; Kucherak's career home run total now stands at 28, tying him for fifth in Northwestern's program history after just two seasons. This achievement makes him the first Wildcat to hit double‑digit home runs in back‑to‑back years since Stephen Hrustich accomplished the feat in 2021‑22.
The upcoming MLB Draft, set for July 11‑12 in Philadelphia, will provide a national stage for Kucherak to display his talents before scouts and executives, continuing a trajectory that began in Evanston and now heads to the desert.
