A Standout Senior Prepares for a Breakout Season
Ryan Robbins, a senior at Upper St. Clair High School, has been selected for the 2026 Trib 25 Preseason All-Star team, a recognition that highlights his emergence as one of the region’s most promising football prospects.
Standing 6 feet 7 inches tall and weighing 280 pounds, Robbins combines size with surprising agility, traits that have already translated into three WPIAL basketball championships and a reputation as a dominant two‑way athlete.
His commitment to Penn State has drawn attention from college scouts, while his high school coach, Mike Junko, repeatedly emphasizes Robbins’ relentless work ethic and natural leadership on and off the field.
The Upper St. Clair football program, which has not captured a district title in over 20 years, is pinning its hopes on Robbins to help break that drought. The team finished the previous season with a strong defensive showing, recording 25 tackles and three sacks, and now aims to compete against the top squads in Class 5A.
Beyond the gridiron, Robbins has indicated a shift toward a more defensive role this year, a decision that reflects both his personal strengths and the coaching staff’s strategy to maximize his impact on the line of scrimmage.
