Ryan Soulis Commits to Northwestern, Bolstering International Roster
Ryan Soulis, a 6‑foot‑10 forward from Athens, Greece, announced his commitment to Northwestern’s men’s basketball program on Wednesday, bringing a blend of size and skill to the Wildcats.
During his sophomore season at Columbia, Soulis averaged 5.8 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 0.9 blocks per game, numbers that reflect his defensive versatility and emerging offensive role.
Soulis previously spent two years at Richmond before transferring to Columbia, and his move marks the seventh addition to the Wildcats’ roster this offseason, a group that also includes Okku Federiko, Luke McEldon and Aleksej Kostić.
Coach Chris Collins highlighted the international flavor of the class, noting that the arrival of Soulis alongside Jon Chepkevich, Federiko, McEldon and Kostić enriches the team’s cultural diversity while adding depth to the frontcourt.
The Wildcats’ coaching staff believes the new recruits will complement the existing core and help the program contend for a Big Ten title, as the team looks to build on last season’s progress.
