Sadie Nelson has been appointed head coach of the Muhlenberg women's basketball program, taking the reins from longtime architect Ron Rohn, whose name now stands among the most winningest coaches in the school's storied athletic history.

Nelson, who joined the Mules staff in 2023 after a successful stint at Cedar Crest College, brings a blend of playing experience and coaching acumen that the program hopes will continue its recent surge.
Her journey to the head‑coach seat began on the courts of the University of New England, where she earned three All‑Commonwealth Coast Conference honors and helped the Nor’easters capture two conference titles and NCAA Tournament berths.
A 1,000‑point scorer at Windham (Maine) High School, Nelson also pursued a professional career overseas in Japan before returning to academia, earning a bachelor's degree in applied exercise science in 2021 and a master's in education the following year.
Beyond X's and O's, she emphasizes building meaningful relationships with student‑athletes, staff, and alumni, aiming to foster a culture of excellence that reflects the program's tradition of success.
