Quinnipiac University announced this week that Sadie Peart has taken on the role of Director of Operations and Player Development for the school’s women’s ice hockey program, effective August 2025.
A Player‑Turned Architect
Peart arrives after a distinguished stint as an assistant coach with Dartmouth’s women’s team, where she was responsible for guiding the forwards and shaping the squad’s power‑play tactics.
Her playing years at Quinnipiac left an indelible mark; she sits second on the program’s all‑time scoring list with 124 points and held the record for most games played with 169 appearances.
Beyond the rink, Peart captained the Bobcats during the 2023‑24 season and earned a reputation for leadership off the ice, organizing a campus‑wide volunteer drive that mobilized more than 1,500 students.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in sports management and an MBA, credentials that have helped her coordinate community outreach and strategic planning.
International experience also enriches her profile; Peart served as a USA Hockey Team Leader at the U18 National Development Camp in 2022 and 2023 and worked as an on‑ice coach at the Caroline Hurricanes Hockey Camp.
Her statistical footprint includes a 52.4% faceoff win rate and a fourth‑place national ranking in faceoff victories during the 2023‑24 season, underscoring a blend of offensive flair and defensive reliability.
The appointment signals Quinnipiac’s intent to deepen its talent pipeline, leveraging Peart’s playing pedigree, coaching acumen, and community‑building experience to sustain the program’s recent ECAC playoff successes and NCAA tournament appearances.
