Sally Rainey, a decorated goalkeeper who concluded her collegiate career at the University of New Hampshire, has signed a professional contract with AC Milan that will run through June 30, 2029.
A Record‑Setting College Run
During her senior season in 2024 she tied the program’s single‑season shutout record with nine clean sheets, played every minute of 18 matches, and helped the Wildcats finish with a 12‑win campaign that included a run to the America East championship game.
From New Hampshire to Milan
Rainey will wear the No. 24 jersey for Milan, a club that consistently finishes among the league’s top three and secures a place in the UEFA Women’s Champions League. The move follows three consecutive Serbian Women’s Super League titles with Red Star Belgrade, where she refined her skills before returning to the United States for her final college year.
Academic Excellence and Community Impact
Off the field she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences and Disorders, maintaining a 3.86 GPA and earning multiple academic honors, including the Cathy Coakley Student‑Athlete Community Involvement Award and recognition as an America East Presidential Scholar.
A Trailblazer for the Future
Her signing adds to a growing list of UNH women’s soccer alumni who have transitioned to professional ranks since 2016, underscoring the program’s sustained competitiveness and paving the way for future generations of student‑athletes.
