Sam Alexis, the 6‑foot‑9 forward who helped Indiana University reach the 2026‑27 season, has been cleared to return after a preliminary injunction was granted on Friday, allowing him to rejoin the Hoosiers roster.
His presence immediately adds a proven frontcourt option, bringing a program‑record 68.7% field‑goal percentage and a track record of double‑digit scoring in 13 games last year.
Coach Darian DeVries will now have a versatile big man who can operate at both the four and five positions, giving the team flexibility in matchups and reducing the burden on the limited backup options that existed before his return.
