Sam McKeown, widely recognized as the nation's second-best long snapper by Kohl's, revealed his decision to join the Tennessee Volunteers, becoming the ninth recruit in the class.
The announcement followed a campus visit to Knoxville, where McKeown highlighted his rapport with Coach Josh Heupel and longtime mentor Evan Crabtree, describing the relationship as a key factor in his choice.
He emphasized that the Volunteers represented the perfect fit, stating that he would not entertain visits to any other schools and would devote his full attention to the Vols.
Coach Heupel and Coach Crabtree expressed excitement about the commitment, noting that McKeown's presence would strengthen the special teams unit and reflect the program's growing appeal.

In a brief video message, McKeown sent a supportive note to the Tennessee fanbase, urging them to rally behind the team with the chant “Go Rocky Top.”
