Samantha Busch took to social media on Thursday to share an emotional tribute after Bowman Gray Stadium unveiled the inaugural Kyle Busch Invitational, a special event that will honor the late NASCAR champion.
A tribute to a racing legend
Scheduled for August 21, 2026, the invitational will feature Legend car and Bandolero races, with every dollar raised earmarked for The Samantha and Kyle Busch Bundle of Joy Fund, a charitable initiative that assists couples battling infertility through IVF grants.
Kyle Busch, who passed away on May 21, 2026 at the age of 41 after complications from pneumonia, had long championed grassroots racing as the heart of the sport. His wife said the new event fulfills one of his lifelong dreams while extending his influence beyond the Cup Series.
Family members in attendance included Brexton Busch and Lennix Busch, while NASCAR executive Ben Kennedy expressed gratitude for the opportunity to bring the vision to life.
FloRacing and the NASCAR Channel will broadcast the event live, giving fans nationwide a chance to celebrate one of the sport’s most dominant drivers, a two‑time champion and the all‑time wins leader across NASCAR’s three national series.
Bowman Gray Stadium, NASCAR’s oldest continuously operating sanctioned track, will host the festivities in Winston‑Salem, North Carolina, while the surrounding Hampton, Georgia, community will also feel the ripple effects of the fund’s mission.
