San Diego State University will host a free intrasquad scrimmage on August 15 at Snapdragon Stadium, giving the public a first look at the 2026 football squad.
The event marks the tenth day of preseason practice, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. and kickoff scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Admission and parking are complimentary, though fans must claim tickets through the SDSU website starting Monday at 10 a.m.
A Glimpse of the New Roster
Out of the 108 players on the roster, 60 are in their inaugural year with the program, underscoring a youthful infusion of talent.
Defensively, eight of the 11 starting positions will be contested, as the coaching staff evaluates fresh faces for key roles.
On offense, seven returning starters anchor the unit, including quarterback Jayden Denegal, who is expected to lead the charge.
Looking Ahead to the 2026 Season
The Aztecs finished the previous season with a 9‑4 record and are preparing for their inaugural campaign in the Pac‑12 conference.
The season opener is slated for September 5 against Portland State at Snapdragon Stadium, followed by a slate of six home games against James Madison, Texas State, Fresno State, Washington State and Utah State.
Beyond the on‑field action, the scrimmage will feature giveaways and an autograph session, promising a festive atmosphere for supporters.
