Standout Performers
EA Sports’ College Football 27 has become a showcase for recent college talent, and this year’s roster includes a dozen players who honed their skills in San Joaquin County.
The game’s rating system places two of those alumni in the elite 80‑range, while six more sit in the 70‑range, reflecting both their collegiate achievements and future potential.
Devan Thompkins, now a key contributor at Alabama, leads the group with an overall rating of 84, while Fresno State’s Jahzon Jacks follows closely at 83.
Other notable scores include Blake Nichelson, a linebacker at Florida State, rated at 76, and Jomarion Briggs, a cornerback also at Fresno State, at 75. Both Kenneth Moore III at UCLA and Luke Weaver, competing for the starting quarterback role at San Jose State, share a 73 rating.
The remaining participants — Tim Thomas at Sacramento State (71), Adam Taylor at the same program (70), Dylan Lee at San Jose State (66), Tajean Stallworth at Nevada (65), Langdon Horace at Stanford (64), and Naseri Danielson at San Jose State (63) — round out a strong regional presence.
EA Sports updates its rosters throughout the year, meaning additional local players could see their ratings rise in future patches, keeping the conversation alive for fans tracking the next generation of talent.
