Hall of Fame ballot unveiled
The National Football Foundation has released the list of players and coaches who will appear on the 2027 College Football Hall of Fame ballot, a roster that includes three former Seattle Seahawks who helped the franchise capture Super Bowl 48.
Percy Harvin distinguished himself at the University of Florida, where he topped the nation in rushing yards per attempt during the 2007 season and contributed to a Gators team that captured the 2006 BCS national championship.
Marshawn Lynch emerged as a breakout star at the University of California, leading the Pac‑10 in both rushing yards and touchdowns in 2006 and earning recognition as one of the most electrifying backs of his era.
Russell Okung, who anchored the offensive line at Oklahoma State, was repeatedly honored as one of the nation’s elite linemen, collecting multiple All‑American selections and awarding that highlighted his collegiate dominance.
The ballot also features other former Seahawks such as tight end Chase Coffman, safety Deon Grant and kicker Sebastian Janikowski, as well as Penn State alumnus Bobby Engram, a three‑time All‑Big Ten wideout who captured the 1994 Fred Biletnikoff Award.
Voting for the 2027 class will remain open until July 1, giving fans and selectors ample time to consider the candidates’ combined professional and collegiate impact.
The announcement underscores the lasting influence of Seattle’s championship era on the broader college football landscape, linking past triumphs to future Hall of Fame considerations.
