Sean Pedulla, the former Virginia Tech guard who averaged 12.1 points and 3.2 assists before transferring to Ole Miss, has signed a two‑way contract with the Houston Rockets, the team announced on Tuesday.

Pedulla’s rise began in Blacksburg, where he logged 1.0 steal per game over three seasons for the Hokies. His move to Ole Miss amplified his profile, helping the Rebels reach the NCAA Tournament and posting 15.4 points, 3.8 assists and 3.5 rebounds per game.
The next chapter unfolded with the Portland Rip City Remix, where he was named G League Player of the Year after averaging 20.3 points and 4.5 assists. That performance earned him a two‑way deal with the Rockets, using up their final available slot.
Roster Dynamics in Houston
Houston’s roster is crowded with NBA‑ready talent, including Kevin Durant, Amen Thompson, Fred VanVleet, Marcus Smart and Reed Sheppard. Smart arrived from the Los Angeles Lakers in free agency, while the Rockets drafted Bruce Thornton in the first round of the 2025 NBA Draft.
