Seattle is gearing up for a series of high‑profile watch parties tied to the FIFA World Cup 2026, as local soccer entities band together to broaden fan access to the tournament’s early rounds.
The coalition, which includes Sounders FC, Reign FC, the RAVE Foundation and Friends of Waterfront Park, has added new Round of 32 viewing events at Pier 62, offering free public access to the U.S. men’s match on July 1 and Mexico’s counterpart on June 30.
Organizers have also introduced a RAVE 52 Free Play Days activation scheduled for July 6, running from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Pacific Time, where fans can engage in on‑site activities while the matches unfold.
Since its launch, the Seattle Soccer Celebration — a floating cultural hub anchored on Elliott Bay and branded in partnership with Lenovo — has drawn more than 450,000 visits from nearly 401,000 unique guests between June 11 and June 21, underscoring the city’s appetite for global soccer festivities.
Premium ticket holders can experience the action from a dedicated barge that sails on a match‑by‑match basis, with gates opening an hour before kickoff and seating allocated on a first‑come, first‑served basis.
Expanding Access and Experience
The initiative reflects a broader mission to make the World Cup experience inclusive, allowing supporters from all participating nations to gather in a welcoming waterfront setting.
City officials and partners say the expanded programming not only celebrates the sport but also highlights Seattle’s role as a dynamic venue for international soccer events.
