Seattle Reign FC has joined forces with coffee giant Starbucks to make women's soccer more accessible for families throughout the Pacific Northwest, announcing a program that grants free tickets to children twelve and under at selected home matches.
A Free‑Ticket Strategy for the Next Generation
Under the ‘Kids 12 & Under Free’ program, an adult ticket purchase unlocks up to five complimentary seats for young fans, removing a key financial barrier and inviting families to experience the excitement of a live match.
Starbucks will promote the offer in its extensive network of coffeehouses across Washington State, embedding the partnership into the everyday routine of local communities and encouraging match‑day planning through in‑store signage and digital channels.
Maya Mendoza-Exstrom and Erin Silvoy, who lead the club’s community outreach efforts, emphasized that the initiative aligns with the team’s long‑term vision of nurturing future supporters while expanding the sport’s reach beyond traditional demographics.
The program is integrated with Reign FC’s broader youth development agenda, which includes an expanded Kids Club and a series of interactive fan experiences designed to deepen engagement throughout the season.
Starting in 2027, season‑ticket holders will receive a special benefit that extends the free‑ticket offer across the entire campaign, reinforcing the club’s commitment to sustained fan growth and community connection.
Six of the team’s nine remaining home fixtures qualify for the initiative, giving families multiple opportunities to attend matches without the usual price tag, while the partnership is viewed as unprecedented in North American professional sports.
