The Southeastern Conference recently unveiled its 2026 preseason watchlist, a curated group of players poised to shape the narrative of the upcoming women's soccer season. Joining her is Ines Derrien, a junior midfielder who transferred from USC. During her tenure with the Trojans she appeared in all 40 games, contributed five goals and five assists, and helped the side reach the 2024 NCAA Tournament Quarterfinal. Her arrival adds depth and creativity to Tennessee's midfield corps.
Between the posts, Cayden Norris prepares for another season after a breakout sophomore campaign in which she posted a program‑record 13 clean sheets, including a streak of seven consecutive shutouts. Her command of the defensive line will be a cornerstone of the team's strategy.
Shae O'Rourke, a fifth‑year forward, made an immediate impact upon arriving in Knoxville. In her debut season she scored a brace against the nation's top‑ranked North Carolina squad and netted the game‑winning goal at UCLA before a season‑ending injury curtailed her run. Her early scoring prowess highlighted the excitement surrounding her transfer.
Kylee Simmons returns after a preseason injury, bringing with her the pedigree of a 2023 First Team All‑SEC selection from Missouri. In her previous three seasons she tallied 16 goals and added eight assists, establishing herself as a potent attacking threat.

The Lady Vols will kick off the 2026 season at Regal Soccer Stadium on August 13, facing Rutgers in a 7 p.m. ET showdown.
