SEC Draft Outlook
ESPN recently released its ranking of the top 2027 NFL Draft prospects, organizing the list by position and highlighting the players most likely to be selected in the upcoming cycle.
Texas Longhorns topped the board with nine prospects, the most of any program, while Alabama and LSU each contributed four names to the list. Georgia followed with seven, underscoring a deep pool of talent in the Southeast.
The rankings also revealed that four SEC members — Auburn, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Tennessee — did not receive any projections, a gap that reflects both the concentration of talent at the top programs and the volatility of future draft boards.
Analysts note that while the data points to Georgia potentially fielding more seasoned game‑changers in close contests, the overall picture remains narrow and incomplete, especially given that eligibility rules allow players not slated for the 2027 Draft to still influence the conversation.
Among the prospects discussed are names such as Ryan Coleman-Williams, Yhonzae Pierre, Zabien Brown, Bray Hubbard, Matt Miller, Jordan Reid, Nate Frazier, Lawson Luckie, Drew Bobo, Raylen Wilson, Chris Cole, Ellis Robinson IV, KJ Bolden, Trey-Dez Green, Jordan Seaton, Braelin Moore, Ty Benefield, LaNorris Sellers, Jacarrius Peak, Dylan Stewart, Lance Heard and Tavion Gadson, each of whom could shape the early projections.
The geographic spread of the prospects mirrors the regional focus of the SEC, with standout talent emerging from states including Texas, Georgia, Louisiana, South Carolina, Missouri, Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, as well as from campuses in Auburn, Vanderbilt, Texas A&M and Tennessee.
