The 2026 campaign opens on September 3 with Missouri welcoming Arkansas‑Pine Bluff to Memorial Stadium in Columbia. The following weekend, Tennessee begins its season on September 5 at Neyland Stadium against Furman, while the opening week wraps up on September 6 when Ole Miss hosts Louisville at Nissan Stadium in Nashville.
EA Sports College Football 27 Launch
EA Sports College Football 27 debuted globally on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC, bringing a new level of realism to college football gaming. Early access began on July 2 for MVP+ members and on July 8 for those who preordered the Deluxe Edition or MVP Bundle.
Speed Ratings Highlight
Within the game, South Carolina wide receiver Nyck Harbor tops the SEC with a speed rating of 99, the highest among conference players. Several other SEC standouts also feature elite ratings, including Julio Humphrey, Gentry Williams and Jelani Watkins, all posting scores of 95 or better.
Tennessee’s own speed threats are well represented in the rankings. Junior wide receiver Mike Matthews holds a rating of 94, while redshirt sophomore Braylon Staley follows closely with a 93.
