SEC Announces 2026‑27 Men's Basketball Schedule
The Southeastern Conference officially rolled out its 2026‑27 men's basketball schedule on July 27, 2026, setting the stage for a competitive season that begins with league play in early January.
South Carolina will make its first conference appearance on the road, traveling to face LSU on January 2, 2027. The Gamecocks will then return home for a series of Saturday matchups that pit them against some of the SEC’s traditional powerhouses.
The home slate includes contests against Texas A&M, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida and Texas, each scheduled for a Saturday and offering a chance for the team to build momentum early in the conference season.
The final home game of the regular season is slated for early March, with Florida visiting on either March 2 or 3, 2027. After that, the Gamecocks will close out the regular season on the road at Georgia on March 6.
The SEC Tournament is set for March 10‑14, 2027, at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, where the conference’s top teams will battle for postseason bragging rights.
The schedule release comes on the heels of a strong previous season in which ten SEC teams earned NCAA Tournament bids, including Tennessee’s run to the Elite Eight. The conference posted a 158‑50 record in non‑conference play and held a KenPom rating of +19.65, underscoring its depth and competitiveness.
