Lacrosse Triumph Propels General Brown Forward
General Brown secured a decisive 20‑11 victory over Bishop Ludden/Grimes, advancing in the tournament and underscoring its offensive firepower. Cadence Young was instrumental, netting a pivotal goal in the first quarter that pushed the lead to 6‑4, while Evelyn Allers answered for the opposition with a second‑quarter marker that narrowed the gap to a single point.
Baseball Shutout Demonstrates Pitching Dominance
In baseball, General Brown continued its winning streak with a 7‑0 shutout of Watertown. Jackson Keefer delivered a strong outing, surrendering just four hits while striking out five batters, a performance that highlighted the team’s pitching depth and defensive cohesion.
Track and Field Showdown at Ogdensburg
The track and field meet at Ogdensburg served as a showcase for regional talent, with Potsdam and Norwood‑Norfolk trading victories across a spectrum of events. Xaiden Morey captured the 110‑meter hurdles for Potsdam, while Will Jones claimed both the 1,600‑meter and 800‑meter races. Thomas Trejos, Jackson Greer, Jackson Dinan and Adam DiCoby added individual titles in the 400 meters, 400 hurdles, 3,200 meters, discus and shot put, respectively.
Relay action further intensified the competition: Potsdam swept the 1,600‑meter and 3,200‑meter relays, Ogdensburg took the 400‑meter relay, and Norwood‑Norfolk edged Potsdam in a tightly contested 400‑meter relay finish. Additional highlights included Urijah Austin’s sprint double and long‑jump triumph for Ogdensburg, Camden Cree’s triple‑jump win, and a host of field events dominated by Emerson Garrow and Carter Alexander.
Overall, the meet concluded with Potsdam finishing ahead of Ogdensburg and Norwood‑Norfolk, though the latter two posted their own notable achievements, such as Autumn Masuk’s 100‑meter hurdle victory and Allie Snell’s triple‑event sweep in the 400 hurdles, 1,500, and 3,000 meters.
