A Day on the Greens
The Section X Basketball Officials Board 47 is set to host a captain and crew golf tournament on July 25, a fundraiser aimed at shoring up its dwindling roster of officials.
The event will be held at the Oliver Appleton Golf Course in St. Lawrence, where registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the first tee shot is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
Organizers say the proceeds will go toward new member recruitment efforts, helping the board attract fresh officials to cover an increasing number of youth games across the North Country.
Beyond the swing, participants can look forward to a lineup of prizes, raffles and a complimentary lunch, adding a festive atmosphere to the day.
