Six weeks remain before the 2026 college football season kicks off, and Florida State is already in the thick of preparation.
A New Era of Experience
At the recent ACC Kickoff media day in Charlotte, head coach Mike Norvell joined senior quarterback Ashton Daniels, defensive back Ja’Bril Rawls and wide receiver Duce Robinson to outline the Seminoles’ outlook.
Norvell emphasized the blend of talent and returning production, noting that 19 true freshmen saw action in at least four games last year and have now matured under a defense led by coordinator Tony White in his second season.
The coaching staff also welcomed Tom Herman to the program late in the offseason, a move Norvell believes will sharpen the offense and add depth to the play‑calling staff.
Daniels said his decision to join the Seminoles was driven by the people within the program, while Rawls highlighted his evolution from a freshman to a leader in the secondary. Robinson, back in Tallahassee, stressed his commitment to becoming a complete receiver.
As fall camp approaches, the quartet will return to the 850, the campus address that has become synonymous with their shared goals.
