Serbia Advances to EuroBasket Second Round After Dominant Win Over Switzerland
Serbia moved a step closer to the EuroBasket knockout stage on Tuesday, defeating Switzerland 97‑73 in a game that cemented their place in the second round.
At the heart of the performance was Nikola Jokic, who contributed 22 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists while posting a game‑high efficiency rating of 35 and a plus‑minus of +20.
The victory also marked the first appearance of Dusan Alimpijevic at the helm of the Serbian national team, who took over from Svetislav Pesic earlier in the tournament.
With the win, Serbia will now face Bosnia and Herzegovina in their next Group B encounter, scheduled to be played in Belgrade.
