Seton Hall's men's basketball program has been honored with the National Association of Basketball Coaches Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2025‑26 season, recognizing a collective grade point average of 3.038 across the roster. The Pirates join Butler and Marquette as the only Big East schools to receive the distinction, marking the fourth time under head coach Shaheen Holloway that the team has earned the accolade.
Honors Court Selections
Three members of the squad were singled out for individual achievement, landing on the NABC Honors Court. Jacob Dar, David Gabriel and Patrick Suemnick each posted a cumulative GPA of at least 3.2, with Gabriel extending his streak of consecutive honors selections to two years.
The recognition underscores a culture of academic rigor that Holloway has cultivated since taking the helm, a standard that has resulted in 17 student‑athletes being named to the Honors Court over his tenure.
