Sunday night at Owen T. Carroll Field in South Orange, New Jersey, the Seton Hall women's soccer team will open its 2026 campaign against Fairleigh Dickinson, with live coverage on ESPN+ starting at roughly 6 p.m.
Aiming for a third straight opening‑day victory
Coach Josh Osit, now in his fifth season, hopes to build on back‑to‑back wins over Monmouth and Marist that have kept the Pirates unbeaten in their last three season openers.
Returning standouts Gianna Angelillo and Nina Davis bring experience; Angelillo, who transferred from Louisville and netted six goals last year, and Davis, who overcame injury to appear in 27 matches, give the squad a potent attacking core.
The roster also welcomes eleven newcomers, highlighted by twins Lydia and Nicole Proia from Natick, Massachusetts, who combined for 88 high‑school goals and earned All‑American honors, as well as transfers Kileigh Gorman, Macie Mietz and several others seeking to make an immediate impact.
With the BIG EAST Conference and United Soccer Coaches overseeing the schedule, the team looks to translate early momentum into a sustained push toward conference play.
