Academic Excellence Meets Athletic Prowess
The Hockey East conference announced its 2025-26 All-Academic Team, recognizing 17 members of the University of Maine women's ice hockey program for their performance both on the ice and in the classroom. Each honoree maintained a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, underscoring the program's commitment to scholarly achievement.
Among the distinguished recipients, goaltender Julia Bachetti stood out by posting the highest GPA within the goaltender cohort, earning her a spot on the All-Star sub-team. Her academic record reflects the same precision she brings to her defensive duties.
Ava Stevenson also received special note for her consistent academic excellence, having qualified for the All-Academic team in each of her four varsity seasons. Her achievement earned her the Distinguished Scholar designation, a testament to sustained dedication.
The full roster includes Julia Bachetti, Jaidyn Britt, Danielle Brunette, Brenna Curl, Lily Fetch, Frederikke Foss, Gracie Hanson, Stephanie Jacob, Haley Ryan, Lila Shea, Ava Stevenson and Kendall Sundby. Together, they illustrate how the Minutemen blend competitive spirit with intellectual rigor.
