At Sewickley Academy, the tradition of blending athletic excellence with scholarly achievement has become a defining characteristic of the student body.
Lucas Grimsley, a senior whose name has already appeared on multiple all‑section lists, recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball at Kenyon College, a Division III institution located in Gambier, Ohio.
The agreement follows a high school career that culminated in the Coaches Award, a 1,100‑point total and a 3.7 GPA, and Grimsley has announced his intention to major in finance at the college.
A Culture of Achievement
His commitment is part of a broader wave of recognition that includes seven members of the Quaker Valley girls lacrosse team earning all‑section honors and Jonah Montagnese collecting seven gold medals over the 2025‑26 school year.
Three Western Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic League basketball programs captured PIAA championships in the 2025‑26 season, while the Sewickley Academy softball squad limited opponents to just 47 runs.
