The San Jose Sharks are set to bring a new initiative to the Golden State this summer, partnering with the Premier Hockey Federation to launch the Pro Women’s Hockey Summer Tour. The program combines on‑ice skill development with off‑ice mentorship, targeting girls between eight and fourteen years old.
Each stop of the tour will feature hands‑on clinics led by professional athletes, interactive Q&A sessions, and opportunities for participants to meet role models who are reshaping the sport.
Special guests include Aerin Frankel, the Boston Fleet netminder and Olympic gold medalist; Brooke Bryant, forward for the Seattle Torrent; and Kelly‑Ann Nadeau, defender for the Montreal Victoire. Their presence underscores the growing visibility of women’s professional hockey.
Tour Schedule
The tour kicks off on May 30 in San Jose, continues on June 20 in Oakland, and concludes on August 14 in Fresno. Each city will host a full day of activities designed to nurture talent and passion for the game.
Beyond the on‑ice work, the events aim to foster a love for hockey and provide young participants with relatable role models. The Sharks’ involvement highlights a broader commitment to gender equity in youth sports, a partnership that also showcases the PWHL’s expanding footprint across North America.
