The seventh week of the Shore Conference baseball season arrived with the tournament’s opening rounds already shaping the landscape, as teams battled for early momentum.
Tournament Takes Center Stage
The first two rounds of the Shore Conference Tournament have produced a flurry of close games, setting the tone for the weeks ahead and highlighting the depth of talent across the league.
Alliance Orthopedics is sponsoring the weekly player‑of‑the‑week recognition, inviting fans to vote for the most outstanding performer from May 11 through May 16. Voting will remain open until Saturday May 23 at 6:30 p.m.
Weekly Honorees
Since the contest began, several standout athletes have been celebrated. Jake Liotti of Howell captured Week 1 honors with 50.27 percent of the vote, while Mikey Clayton of Keansburg followed in second place with 25.04 percent. Ian St. Luce of Toms River North dominated Week 2 with 37.03 percent, and Wall’s Nick Plevier collected 28.09 percent in the same round. Week 3 saw Ethan Mecchi of Marlboro take the top spot with 46.68 percent, and Ryan Todisco of Howell close behind with 42.43 percent. In Week 4 Jonathan Pallman of Toms River East received 46.09 percent, while Pietro Amodio of Toms River North gathered 19.48 percent. Week 5 highlighted Logan Resetar of Lacey, who earned 54.52 percent, with Jack Quinn of Howell finishing second at 41.98 percent. The most recent Week 6 was led by Ryan Rude of Colts Neck, who amassed 91.28 percent of the vote, while Brady Williams of Rumson‑Fair Haven trailed with 5.79 percent.
These weekly recognitions not only spotlight individual excellence but also reinforce the competitive spirit that defines the Shore Conference tournament.
