A milestone for Rutherford County soccer
The win marks the first time a county squad has advanced past the opening round since the early 2020s, ending a drought that stretched back to 2021 and 2022 when Oakland claimed back‑to‑back titles.
Siegel's success was reflected off the field as ten players earned spots on the 2026 Murfreesboro Post All‑County team, a testament to the depth of talent on the roster. Among them, Trystan Salome was selected for the prestigious All‑Rutherford County squad, while Central Magnet's William Clark also received the honor.
Other county programs also saw recognition. Rockvale and Central Magnet each placed eleven players on the All‑County list, but their campaigns ended in sectional play, with Rockvale falling to Cleveland and Central Magnet succumbing to Signal Mountain.
