A season to remember
Simon Hetrick, a senior at Ravenwood High School, has been selected as the 2025‑26 Gatorade Tennessee Boys Soccer Player of the Year, a distinction that highlights his dominant performance on the field.
He contributed 11 goals and eight assists, helping the Raptors clinch their first state title in school history while also excelling academically with a weighted GPA of 4.32.
Beyond soccer, Hetrick has been active in community service, volunteering with the nonprofit One Generation Away and mentoring elementary students, demonstrating a commitment to leadership off the pitch.
His achievements earned him a nomination for the national Gatorade Boys Soccer Player of the Year award, and he has already committed to playing at Lipscomb University next season.
Looking ahead
The recognition places Hetrick alongside past honorees such as former MLS All‑Star Alecko Eskandarian and current U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Cristian Roldan, underscoring a growing pipeline of talent from Tennessee.
