Sis Paulsen, a cornerstone of Wisconsin women’s hockey, will be inducted into the Wisconsin Athletics Hall of Fame as part of the Class of 2026. The ceremony is scheduled for September 18, with special recognitions during the Badgers’ September 19 matchup against Eastern Michigan at Camp Randall Stadium.
A Hall of Fame Legacy
Paulsen’s impact stretches far beyond her playing days. From 1999 to 2003 she anchored the Badgers’ blue line, earning team captain honors and First‑Team All‑WCHA accolades while ranking among the program’s top‑scoring defensemen.
After her playing career, Paulsen returned to Madison as an equipment manager, where she helped sustain the team’s championship culture. Her behind‑the‑scenes work contributed to three national title squads, cementing her reputation as a builder as well as a competitor.
Celebrating a Broader Class
The 2026 induction class includes twelve athletes, staff members and supporters across nine Badger sports, underscoring the university’s commitment to honoring diverse contributions to its athletic heritage.
