Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) has released the men's and women's basketball schedules for the 2026‑27 season, outlining a 16‑game conference slate against Ohio Valley Conference opponents.
The schedule, issued jointly by SIUE Athletics and the OVC, adopts a round‑robin format in which each team will meet eight OVC rivals twice, resulting in a total of 16 conference games.
Opening Matchups
The first conference games are set for December 30, 2026, when both squads host Lindenwood at home to open the season.
Throughout the year, 15 of the 16 conference dates will be played as doubleheaders, allowing both teams to compete on the same night, though a separate matchup against Tennessee State will be split, with the men meeting the Tigers on February 17 and the women on February 18.
The regular season will conclude with home games on February 25 and 27, when the men host Eastern Illinois and Southern Indiana respectively, while the women’s final conference matchups follow the same weekend.
Tournament Outlook
The 2027 OVC Men's and Women's Basketball Tournament is slated for March 3 through 6 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana, continuing a decade‑long tradition of hosting the event at the same venue and securing the contract through 2032.
