Southern Illinois University Edwardsville will open its doors to the community on July 29, 2026, for a public practice session that marks the first official glimpse of the men’s basketball program’s 2026‑27 campaign.
Early Look at the New Roster
Head Coach Brian Barone will lead the workout, using the session to showcase the talent and chemistry that will define the Cougars’ upcoming season. The practice, held at First Community Arena, will begin at 5:30 p.m. after doors open at 5:00 p.m., giving fans a chance to watch drills, scrimmages and strategic formations.
In addition to the on‑court action, attendees can enjoy light concessions, sampling snacks and drinks while mingling with players and staff.
After the workout, Barone and the team will stay on site for a meet‑and‑greet, answering questions and signing autographs, ensuring that the excitement builds ahead of the first official game.
