Community Invited to Preview Cougars' Summer Workout
SIUE women's basketball head coach Sam Smith is opening the doors of First Community Arena to fans on July 15, offering a rare glimpse into the team's final summer preparations for the 2026‑27 season.
Doors will swing open at 5:00 p.m., with the scheduled workout kicking off at 5:30 p.m. Attendees can look forward to light concessions, allowing them to enjoy snacks and drinks while watching the Cougars in action.
The session will feature a full team workout, giving spectators a chance to hear directly from Coach Smith and several players as they fine‑tune strategies and chemistry ahead of the upcoming campaign.
Following the on‑court work, the coaching staff and roster will stay on site for a meet‑and‑greet, providing fans with an opportunity to connect personally with the team.
