A Legacy on the Field
The sixth edition of Ashton’s Football Camp is now accepting early‑bird registrations, with the deadline set for July 1. The camp will take place on July 29 at the Sonnentag Center in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, where participants can expect a day of skill development and camaraderie.
Head Coach Martin Adams, together with a team of seasoned assistants, will guide campers through fundamental drills that prioritize technique, teamwork and, above all, fun. The program is designed for boys and girls entering grades 2 through 8, regardless of prior football experience.
A Cause Greater Than the Game
Beyond the gridiron, the camp serves as a fundraising vehicle for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Marshfield. The organization played a pivotal role in supporting the Adams family during Ashton’s lengthy hospitalization, providing a place to stay while their son battled a rare brain and spinal cancer.
Ashton Adams lost his fight against the disease in April 2020, but his memory lives on through the annual event. Martin Adams created the camp to honor his son’s spirit and to give back to the charity that helped his family through a difficult time.
Registration costs $40 for those who sign up before July 1 and $50 thereafter. Early registrants are guaranteed a camp t‑shirt, and all proceeds go directly to the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield.
The initiative underscores the power of community‑driven sport, turning a love of football into a vehicle for charitable giving and remembrance.
