The 2026 NBA Summer League will open its doors in Las Vegas on July 9, showcasing a record‑breaking 61 former players from Atlantic Coast Conference schools.
The Miami Heat lead the way with six ACC alumni on their roster, while the Atlanta Hawks, Milwaukee Bucks and Washington Wizards each bring four former conference standouts. Across the league, 25 of the NBA’s 30 teams will showcase at least one player who honed his game in the ACC.
Among the participants are nine of the conference’s 12 selections from the 2026 NBA Draft, the most notable being Duke’s Cameron Boozer, the No. 3 overall pick, who will make his summer‑league debut in Sin City.
A Milestone for the ACC
The concentration of ACC talent reflects the conference’s reputation as a breeding ground for NBA‑ready prospects. Coaches and analysts alike point to the competitive depth of ACC programs as a key factor in preparing players for the professional stage.
Fans can expect a showcase of future stars, with the summer league serving as an early litmus test for rookies and a chance for teams to evaluate new acquisitions before the regular season begins.
